This proposed master plan for a community and cultural centre in the hills outside Sosua was designed to serve as a prototype for additional centres that would be located around the world.

 

The site overlooked the bay and featured an undulating terrain surrounded by a mahogany forest. The tropical climate allowed for the play of indoor facilities and outdoor spaces with reflecting ponds and formal gardens.

The circular plan emanates from a central amphitheatre, with shopping mews and offices at its perimeter.

 

A triangular-shaped, terraced residential development intersects the plan. This area is capped by formal entertainment facilities and the executive offices of the centre’s directors.
